Get started with the broadband

Once the fibre box is installed in your home and we see that you have the link, the connection is deployed. It is now time to plug in your computer or router.

 

Here's how to do it:

 

Turn on the fibre box on the black button on the far left.

Connect a network cable from the fibre box to your router or computer.

On the fibre box there are four colourful sockets (from the left it is red, yellow, green and blue). You can use any outlet you want.

Refer to the manual for your router for where the network cable should go in and how to get started with the router.

If you just want to test that the fibre box connected, you can connect with a network cable directly to your computer (if it has sockets for such a cable). Open a web browser and see if you get out on the world wide web.

 

No contact with the internet?

 

If you can't connect to the internet even though you recently received a deployment email, check to see if the WAN light is on.

 

If the WAN light is not on, please contact us and we will help troubleshoot and get a link to the connection.

If the WAN is lit, you may have to wait for a day or so. Sometimes it can take a while before you get an IP address. If it still doesn't work after that, you should contact us.
